Frontier Airlines Kicks Ass
If you fly to Las Vegas, check out Frontier Airline's frequent flier program.
Well, as part of last week’s Las Vegas boondoggle I learned how amazing their frequent flyer program is too.

Off The Strip
Las Vegas has some fun activities off the strip, too.
I have been going to Vegas since the early '90's. Then it was for Comdex, and now because my parents retired there. Consider a few things if you are sick of the strip.

Traveling Light In Las Vegas
Good tips for restaurants and buffets in Las Vegas ... and ways to watch your weight while dining out.
Las Vegas, Sin City…a town synonymous with overindulgence and gluttony. For three days in February, it was my home away from home and work-place. Like many of my peers, I’ve battled my weight, and a trip with an expense account is a dangerous thing. So aside from attending a convention, I assigned myself a mission to wade through a land of buffets and excess and find healthy options.

To Las Vegas
I'll come along!
So the next stop on my adventures is purely recreational. Adrian and I fly out for L.A. on Monday (once the laundry is done) before visiting Las Vegas and then San Diego. I've never been to the States before and, although the thought of another plane flight is depressing me right now, I am looking forward to having fun once I get there. I'll take some pics and try and get online to keep you all up to date - anyone want to come along?

Google Earth
Actually, I google mapped Las Vegas, too. It's pretty cool.
There is something really satisfying about zooming in from outer space to your house. The detail in Johannesburg, South Africa is not really much to speak of yet, but I can easily imagine the possibilities once the detail is added in. I just zoomed in on Las Vegas and the detail available is absolutely incredible.

Our dates are somewhat flexible, and since there’s no such thing as a direct flight there from Hawaii anyway we’re trying to evaluate what city is best for a stop-over (“best” = cost effective since there’ll be four of us). Los Angeles, Las Vegas, San Diego ... too many choices ...

Obesity: What's the Message?
What happens in Las Vegas stays in Las Vegas, but what you eat in Las Vegas may not stay in Las Vegas.
...though nobody on either side of the food wars has said the new report is a green light for gluttony, you would not know it at the buffet tables in Las Vegas, where the subtleties of the study were lost in the crossroads of excess.

Las Vegas From Space
You don't have to imagine, you can actually go to Google maps and see Las Vegas from space.

Las Vegas to Death Valley
Missing a turn isn't the worst thing that can happen on your Las Vegas vacation.
In any case, you do get to Pahrump, then after missing the turn off for 372 the first time, you wind up on a truly deserted road, leaving you to ponder the strangeness of experiencing such solitude in the middle of a Las Vegas vacation.

Slot Winner in Las Vegas
Lucky guy decided to stay up and play the slots.

When asked what he would do with the money, the 59 year old New Yorker said he would be looking into moving up his retirement as soon as he got back home. Not bad!
