Shut Up And Fly The Planes
A look at some changes in customer service and public relations at Northwest Airlines.

My grandma and grandpa flew in from Florida for a 2-month visit. Northwest lost one of the bags - the one with all of Grandpa's insulin in.
When she called to inquire about the lost bag (2 days after arrival), the customer service representative rudely joked that she may as well call 911 as there was little chance of him finding the bag any time soon.

Listen, NWA has featured a new slogan called "Customers First" and I can tell you for a fact that they do not live up to this slogan. We (my wife and I) have spent endless time trying to fix a lugguage issue and NWA has their system set up so that you can not speak with anyone higher then the call center's supervisor. Their policy is that no manager's or above take calls, that the only way to contact a manager or higher is to fax a letter to them. We too have had it with NWA and we have asked them to cancel our world perk account and that we will never fly with them again.

I've just spent my whole morning being treated shabbily by Northwest Airlines customer service representatives.
I've been a Worldperks Member since the late '90's and have had my share of rude customer service from this company. Today is the final straw. I'm not as masochistic as I thought I was. Enough is enough. These companies need to understand that as a paying customer, they at least need to treat us with decency. Enough already.
