Independence Air Shutting Down
Independence Air competed on price, but apparently not on cost.
I flew Independence last June from SFO to its hub at Washington Dulles and loved the service as well as the bargain fares. It competed with discount carriers like JetBlue, AirTran, UAL’s Ted and Southwest Airlines.
