Travelocity Customer Follow-up
The blogosphere has a postive influence on Travelocity!
Based on Rick’s feedback, Travelocity is now examining implementing a program in the spirit of Customer Champions that will take the guess work out of following up and will also provide feedback to the customer on their issue, problem, or suggestion.
If you've been following along, you'll recall that I blogged about Travelocity in the hopes of giving you some suggestions on customer service following. The lesson/observation was that it is not enough to just answer email fast or respond with yes we ... [Read More]

I will never use Travelocity again. I booked a hotel through them only to find out later that the hotel's rate was actually over $40 cheaper than what Travelocity charged me. When I contacted them and reminded them of their customer satisfaction guarantee, I was basically told too bad; we have to make a profit. So there is NO customer satisfaction and their customer service is worthless. I won't ever use them again.

I have been using Travelocity for about 4 years now and had been pleased until our last trip. This was the first time we had any problem. Travelocity Customer Service is a joke. Instead of straightening out a problem with our flight (we were booked on two flights...not one..and our seats were given to someone else...I could go on) they connected me with the airline customer service. Our luggage was on the other flight...and guess what....our expensive travel insurance doesn't cover any luggage problems after 24 hours from the beginning of your trip. The biggest positive about the trip and problems was that I discovered that American Airlines is a great airline to deal with (Oh, they have employees that speak english!) Travelocity is a big, big zero. All Travelocity customer service representatives I spoke to could barely speak english and I was on hold until my cell phone battery was exhausted. I will never book another trip with Travelocity. Oh and by the way, American Airlines said that Travelocity was supposed to have informed us of a change in our itenerary. Never happened. I checked my email the morning before we left. That email had and still has not arrived. Avoid Travelocity....The Guarantee is purely hype and you are dealing with people that can't even speak english when you need them.
