Beancounters beat the marketing department on this one.Today Northwest Airlines announced that effective June 9th they would no longer offer pretzels for free in their coach sections. This move, not serving pretzels, will save Northwest $2 million dollars a year. Northwest is currently in bankruptcy and lost $458 million last quarter. A 3 oz bag of trail mix will be available for $1.
